Labor on the Bimah 8 pm, Friday, August 29th The American Dream is an impossibility for too many hardworking Americans who face the daily anguish, devastation and hopelessness of poverty and near poverty. Torah and Jewish tradition teach us that it is our obligation to pursue justice for those who are in need. In pursuit of justice and in honor of Labor Day we will have a special speaker at the end of our Shabbat service on August 29th on the injustices facing low-wage workers and the religious communitys efforts to support those workers struggles for living wages and family-sustaining benefits.
