Ladies ~ Do you lack self-discipline? Ask yourself much time you - TopicsExpress

Ladies ~ Do you lack self-discipline? Ask yourself much time you spend on phone calls, texting, facebook, hobbies, the television, a nap, blogging, a game, or any other unnecessary thing that might interrupt God’s will for you each day? Resist the temptation to allow things like these to sap wasteful hours from your life. Strictly limit and even rid yourself of some of the things that you love to spend time doing that rob you from living for the Lord the way that He wants you to. “Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Heb 12:1-2). Think of the things that you could get done in a day if you prioritize the hours that you have each day. Study time. Prayer. Quality time training children. Helping others. House (each room) clean & tidy. Car clean & tidy. Yard clean & tidy. Cooking meals. ….and more… (Read Proverbs 31). All of these help you to be a better help for your husband as well as make your home life run smoother. Just because we enjoy a certain pastime doesn’t mean that it is a wise or fruitful choice. Satan is a master at tempting us to use our time frivolously; if he can get us to live a wasteful and flippant life he will deem our effectiveness useless for Christ. Even if a choice isn’t sin, in and of itself, doesn’t mean that it is a wise or godly choice. The choices that we make reflect what and who we love. What will you do with the 24 hours that God has given you today?
