Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2014/Anavila Sidhu Misra Anavila Sindhu Misra who debuted last season at LFW with a lovely line of linen saris sent out a small collection called Mohenjo Daro at LFW Winter Festive 2014 in Mumbai. Also a bunch of linen saris, some of them block printed, others over-dyed to create an intense rusticity and some zari lined, the palette had mehndi green, gold and beige, natural, dusty blues. Misras saris were draped in looser, comfortable ways, some with pleats at the back and styled with fabric jewellery even tan belts. More fascinatingly with long and short anti-fit blouses, some full-sleeved. The designer pushed her point of view of simplicity, the impact of which was reflected in the sub culture visible around. While Konkana Sen Sharma was the showstopper (and looked ravishing in a linen sari), there were others like filmmaker Gauri Shinde and singer-artist Geetu Hinduja in the front row wearing Misras saris in unusual drapes.
