Lance Montalto reminded me of another Jef Brannon story that I heard from Dicky Palmer. The two of them were out after a weeknight show. They went to some bar like a TGI Fridays and slammed a whole bunch of drinks then decided to go check out some other bars. When they walk out of Fridays, their rent car is parked right at the curb. They give it a Hmmm and remark that they didnt remember parking that close, but hey, theyd been drinking, so... They go to a second bar, then a third, maybe a fourth, and they slam a whole bunch more cocktails. When they come out of that place, Jeff looks in the back seat and says, Dicky, is that your jacket? Thats when they realize that they had taken the wrong car, and that somehow the rental car key started it right up. They head back to TGI Fridays, and when they get there, the place has three cop cars up front and popo standing everywhere investigating. They cut their lights, parked in the very back of the lot, found the correct car and just slowly drove home.
