Last minute errands, a visit to the gym (and hit the sauna to sweat this thing out) and then.........leave at 2:30 am to go SOUTH. IsaBody Cruise through the Caribbean on the Royal Caribbean International Jewel of the Seas! This is the third all-expense paid trip I will be heading on courtesy of this amazing company that I have partnered with since the decision I made to get my body in the best shape of its life, to date (the best is still yet to come). Here is where it gets long. Do you ever make the excuse that you are too busy? Where on earth would you find the time? Heck just any old excuse at all as to why you cannot move forward on a goal, dream or ambition? Well, rant on: It is never too late, nor are you ever too busy or ______(insert another excuse, I dare you) to make a change and I mean a life-altering one. In the period of time since I began this IsaBody Challenge 1-year ago, I have: been working with my team to build an international business in the nooks and crannies of my life; supported my husband through a 6-month stretch of debilitating mystery-illness; cared for the elder-malamutes in my kennel and assisted six (yes six) in the past year transcend this physical-life (and if you think that was easy one me, you have another thing coming); welcomed two litters of puppies into this world and found them appropriate, loving adoptive homes; trained for and competed in five (yes five) figure competitions and qualified for next years Provincial and National level competitions (which means adhering to diet and being in the gym 5-6 days a week, regardless); assisted countless others in embarking on their journey to better health, a hotter body or more stable bank account; all while being the best mom I can be to my (currently) 14 hairy children. A neighbour watched me doing afternoon chores yesterday and commented that its like running a farm. It sure is and all I was doing were the basics. I am not saying this to impress, I am saying this to impress upon you that we are all busy. All of us. I made the decision at the beginning of this particular IsaBody Challenge that I was going to make me a priority, that this was going to be important, that I was going to matter. The amazing Jimmie D King assisted me in making that paradigm shift and I will forever consider him an angel for that. This was a challenging year, both physically and emotionally for me to endure, but you know what? I look back on this year with nothing but joy, incredible bliss and immense gratitude. My husbands illness brought us closer and taught us to cherish LIFE and to not take things for granted. I also proved to myself that I can handle everything on my own if required, from chores to finances, I can do it...all if necessary. Losing my dogs, my children, would usually incapacitate me for great lengths of time, but I have evolved to accept that those of us who choose to live a life in the company of animals must also accept frequent loss and the accompanying heartbreak. You learn to honour the time you have and the memories made even though it hurts like hell. I have learned, in this past year, through this IsaBody Challenge period, that I matter, that health matters, that relationships matter and that anything and everything IS possible. You are never too old, never too busy, never too blah, blah, blah to make a beneficial change in your life if you TRULY want it. There are individuals in my life who are key players. Everyone playing a role in keeping my head screwed on straight, pointed in the right direction, striving towards goals, humbling, grounding, consoling and guiding me. We all need this in life. We all need our tribe. I love my tribe, my soul sisters and brothers, my fairy sisters, my blood relatives. This has been an incredible year. Surround yourself with people who inspire you, support your ambitions, call you crazy and love you for it and who want to see you succeed. It is a collaboration of energies that fuels us. What I have noticed is that it is the very people that we aim to inspire each day, the animals in our care that we work to provide for, the families that we love and care for and the friends that we lend a shoulder to are the very entities that give so much back to us in return. With immense gratitude to #isagenix #spiritrunmalamutes Colleen, Alisa, Jody, Kari, Jennifer, Jen, Sharon, Tara, Matt, Dolores, Sally, Robin, Edmund, Jonathan, Karen, Marley, Pamela, Colin, Kelly Ann, Paula, Erika, Karla, Janey, Michelle, William JW Foods Fehr PK each of you acting as a pillar in my foundation both currently and over the course of this past year. Of course there are many more, but lets say I was a house on stilts this past year and a hurricane swept through...these people are the reason that, as Elton John says, Im Still Standing! (Awe, malamute people, that just made me think of Abbott) xx
