Last night I was with a friend walking along the Santa Monica - TopicsExpress

Last night I was with a friend walking along the Santa Monica Pier. We had a conversation about our work over the past week and a RANDOM discussion over Lebron James favorite team to play for next season..The Heat or Cavaliers. My friend actually reports and edits these stories for a sports news website, so it couldve sounded like a hot and relevant topic for me. This morning I checked my newsfeed on Facebook to find one of the most disturbing things Ive ever seen online. Two absolutely relevant articles over the topic that my friend and I discussed...a suggestion to like and read the pages that my friend works for and an in depth article by a random, but popular blog commenting on Lebrons personal debate and upcoming decision. And let me remind you, by word of mouth, on the Santa Monica Pier we discussed this. We arent even friends on a social media website yet, let alone Facebook. Call it paranoia. Call it what you want. I dont care. This is for those who think this might be too much. For friends who appreciate any privacy at all. If Facebook hadnt been activated on my phone during our verbal conversation, I WOULD NOT HAVE SEEN THESE ARTICLES. That is my truth. I love seeing all of my friends online and the incredible things they do...but is it worth sacrificing your absolute privacy...when youre sure youre alone? Checking off Facebook for a little while...my advice: EXPLORE THE APP STORE AND FIND A NEW HOMEBASE. Weve all done it before #myspace. This is real, and for me, this is a problem.
