Last night, officers of the Pomona Police Gang Violence and Suppression unit attempted to contact a suspicious person in the west alley of the 900 Blk of S. Waters Ave. As the officers exited their vehicle the subject fled on foot. Officers pursued the suspect and captured him in a nearby garage. The suspect was in possession of methamphetamine, a modified short barreled .22 caliber rifle along with a large quantity of .22 caliber ammunition.
