Last night, the Warhawks competed at the Ozone Invitational in Knoxville, TN! The competition was tough as the Hawks took on Division I schools- Bowling Green (ranked 14th in the Nation), BYU and Alaska-Anchorage. Sophomore, Courtney Pickett, placed 1st on the floor (9.75) among all of the Division I athletes! She was also second in the all around with a 38.225. Following closely behind was Katie Fiorilli with a 38.175 for third and Hannah Lee who placed 6th with a 37.775! Chloe Rehberg and Lewa Evans led the Hawks on vault with a 9.6 and 9.55! Cici Talcott was the leading scorer on bars with a 9.6 which was good for 9th place! On beam, Lee and Kristin Shackleton tied for 5th place with a 9.575 each to lead the Hawks in that event. The Hawks dominated the floor exercise out scoring all three Division I squads with a 48.350! Along with Picketts top honor on the floor, Talcott and Fiorilli posted awesome scores of 9.7 and 9.675. Overall, the Hawks came in third, out scoring Division I, Alaska, and posting a 189.975. It was an amazing trip to TN, and we are so thankful to all of our wonderful alumni and families who made the trip to support our program! A special thanks to Larry Corrigan and Steve Butcher for their amazing hospitality, and to Ozone leotards for hosting an incredible meet! We cant wait to come back!
