Last night was great. I was nervous for sure speaking at the Ada City Council meeting and it would have been nice to have stayed home and hung out with the family, but when something is important, you do what you feel is right. Last night, the location of our new Central Fire Station was on the agenda and it’s specific location was yet to be decided. Since I feel strongly about my job and how we can best serve the citizens now and for decades to come, I prepared something to say and I said it. Many others spoke and made good points to go along with what I had to say and I’m happy to report that the council voted to place the new Central Fire Station at 14th and Broadway if contracts can be executed. Today I get to go to the State Capital as a member of the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce Board. This should be really cool. It’s very easy to be critical and point fingers at our different levels of government, but I believe it’s more beneficial to learn and participate. Even when I may not agree with our elected officials, I appreciate and respect their service. Happy Doubles Tuesday, God bless, & Roll On!!
