Last night we got back to the hotel late from dinner but we had promised the kids a swim, the pool sign said it closed at 10 & it was 11pm. The time was listed in tiny print at the bottom of a sign behind a tree. For those of you who know us, we are pretty strict parents, we believe in teaching about manners, truth, and that rules are to be followed, yet something about being on vacation had me in a different mindset. We all tip toed around the waterfall at the pool, to the back area that was not lit and jumped in. We giggled softly, played a quiet game of volleyball at the net in the water and had a riot. Sam, who was visibly nervous at getting caught, shook it off and was beaming with the rest of us. We then went to the hot tub and broke that rule too lol. By 12:30 we were all lying on the chaise lounges holding hands watching the stars and having deep conversations of what the clouds look like. Maddy fell asleep under those clouds with a smile on her face. Sam whispered, Mom, we were such rebels tonight! We exchanged I love yous and scooped maddy up and went to bed. I will always remember last night & I hope the children do too. These events are the best of times!💗💗💗
