Last summer I visited Australia for a month for volunteering and learning purposes. During my time there I noticed how white washed the media is - advertising, journalism, etc... so eurocentric, consumerist, capitalist, individualist. Not once did I notice any public respects or references given to the indigenous peoples of that land. I chanced upon an aquaintance who shared something akin to a racial slur - something along the lines of oh theyre all no good, all they do is get drunk all the time, followed by a similar reference to Aotearoa Maori... Fortunately I did meet some decent fellows passionate about their work that live and work face to face in the aboriginal communities, the First Nations communities of Australia. This film shows something important and Im looking forward to the changes to come. Talofae, much Aroha to the Indigenous of Australian land.
