Last time when they were young and they were asked, what do you want to be when you grow up? and they would say doctor. And when asked why, they will tell you so that I can help sick people. Very noble indeed. But fast forward to the future now, the most profitable industry is healthcare and the sick do not benefit without paying big bucks for it. You go to the hospital where they dilate your eyes with 3 (three) drops and charge you RM15 for eye dilation procedure done by the nurse. Then they charge you for every drop of everything that a RM700 bill would have blown up to RM1400. The health ministry need to look at these additional costs. And doctors are not professional anymore when they tell you you need to do a Vitrectomy without warning us of the risk of cataract that will form after a vitrectomy. And how many doctors or specialists have you met that always recommend you to buy multiple multivitamins that dont work and costs Hundreds of Ringgit? I wonder if the medical practitioners have any conscience.
