Late night update on Fr. Paul from Pat, please continue to pray! Just wanted to give you an update before I collapse for the night. Saw the surgeon and he said thats really pleased with Pauls progress. He jokingly said that Paul had been doing his homework because if he was going to have a text book bump in the road it would have been exactly when it happened to Paul. Last night he was filling up with fluid (apparently after surgery your body experiences fluid fluxations and Pauls system is very finely tuned and it enough to upset him. So they had to intebate him and put him on a ventilator to help him breathe. He is being sedated because the ventilator is very uncomfortable and it helps him rest, so he doesnt know we are there. The surgeon said they will probably take him off the ventilator on Sunday. One concern they had was when the episode happened Pauls heart rate went to 138 and his pacemaker defrilator didnt fire so they did a fine tune check of his unit and praise God everything is working correctly, just had to adjust settings for the future. I hope this is all making sense. Im pretty tired and I had my chemo treatment on Thursday so Im beginning to feel some of the bone pain that goes along it. So Im going to say good night, Praise the Lord for His Healing for Paul and THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR PRAYERS.
