Latest on Dembare crisis- Murape blames Caps fans DeMbare DotComs MURAPE DENIES SPITTING OR HEADBUTTING MUBAIWA Sources at the Harare giants said the impasse took a dramatic turn when the players allegedly demanded the ouster of Mubaiwa, through a petition. They accused the three-time league winning chairman of doing little to solve their problems. “On Sunday there was a heated argument between Murape and Mubaiwa that resulted in Murape spitting at his chairman, accusing him of not doing anything to solve the players’ grievances,” said a source. It is also alleged that Murape on Friday brought $1,000 for the players, whose source is still a mystery and Mubaiwa demanded to know where the money had come from. It is believed the money came from one of the executive members. “The war is now no longer between the players and the executive, it’s now two bulls within the Dynamos executive that are fighting and the two bulls are also being used,” said the source. Contacted for comment Murape expressed ignorance over the matter and blamed a facebook site run by Caps United fans for fuelling the rumours. “I don’t know anything about that. It’s Caps United fans who always like to have a dig at me. I don’t even want to comment about this issue because it’s all lies perpetrated by our haters,” said the veteran footballer. He said the media should also desist from being used by people who are anti-Dynamos and bent on causing unnecessary turmoil at the Harare giants. “Of course we had a meeting with our executive over our grievances and that was that, you guys from the newspapers should ignore some of these things. Each team has channels that ought to be followed and I don’t want to appear as if I am above the law and Dynamos,” said Murape. Efforts to get a comment from Mubaiwa were fruitless as his mobile phone was continuously ringing without being answered.
