Its probably cheaper than bringing them all individually on Qantas or Virgin, he said, while waiting for his own Adelaide-based family to arrive at Canberra Airport on a commercial flight. ---- At about $300 a ticket, economy class, the $30,000 in fuel costs alone - let alone staff costs, the dead-head trip to Perth, airport fees, maintenance, etc - could have been spent brining in 100 MPs and family members. WA has 15 MPs and 12 senators - and the Boeing 737 business jet has room for 30 passengers.
