Lecture by Andrew Plaks on Dream of the Red Chamber 7 PM, March 11 (Tuesday), HUM 219 Im writing to invite you to a lecture by Professor Andrew Plaks on Tuesday, March 11, at 7:00 in Humanities 219. Professor Plaks, who teaches at Princeton University and Hebrew University, Jerusalem, is an internationally known scholar of Chinese and comparative literature who is especially well known for his work on Dream of the Red Chamber (Hong lou meng). I will send the exact title of the talk in another message, but it will be of interest to those whod like to know more about Chinese literature in comparative world context.
