Lesley Lemakos gave me #6. Like this post and I will give you a number. 1. I was born in ,1931, the same year the Empire State Building & the George Washington Bridge were completed. (Just another old monument.) 2. At Baptism I was given the name Margaret Anne & I took Lucy at Confirmation so my full name is Margaret Anne Lucy McQuade (You can call me Peg) 3. My great grandfather was a Veteran of the Civil War, my father a Veteran of WWI, my brother a Veteran of the Korean War... proud of all of them. RIP 4. I went to Horace Mann grammar school so on Sunday I had to sit in special pews designated for the public school kids with nuns seated at each end. They used little frog clickers so we would genuflect, kneel. & stand in unison. 5. For high school, I went to the Academy of the Holy Angels and was almost expelled in senior year for smoking on the grounds at lunchtime. Phew! I did graduate but the nuns would not present any of us smokers with awards we had won. 6. I took piano lessons for 7 years & still cant play a song without the sheet music in front of me. But I really love music and. still enjoy live concerts, vocal & orchestral performances, opera and musical theater.
