Leslie Rutledge Update FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: October 1, 2014 Media Contact: Holly Wilson, 870-622-7162 Arkansas GOP Requests Appointment of Election Monitor in Pulaski County; Files FOIA Requests with the Pulaski County Clerk’s Office Little Rock, Arkansas— The RPA Chairman Doyle Webb and Executive Director Megan Tollett issued the following statement following Democrat County Clerk Larry Crane’s violation of State and Federal Law in the removal of Leslie Rutledge from the voter file in Pulaski County. The RPA today filed a request to the State Board of Election Commissioners to have a certified election monitor appointed to Pulaski County; as well as, having filed FOIA requests to the Pulaski County Clerk’s Office for records which could substantiate the partisan activities of the Office in the race for Arkansas Attorney General. “It is shamefully obvious that the old Democrat machine will stop at nothing to keep a well qualified Republican candidate from becoming the next Attorney General of the State of Arkansas,” said Chairman Webb. “Mr. Crane’s actions were clearly unprecedented and in violation of State and Federal law.
