Let the children learn according to their own styles and allow their natural curiousity to direct their own learning. Ive learned that the childrens confidence is interrupted the moment we force them to learn or do things theyre not ready to do, and we even put them down coz we blame them at the end coz they werent able to do it. I consider myself a humanistic educator and I dont want this kind of classroom management. Right now, Im still unsure with whats in store for the K-12 students, the govt isnt ready for the implementation and the curriculum is really half-baked. Materials arent ready and teachers training isnt sufficient. Teachers then have to adapt to such immediate change. Teachers arent superheroes, they dont have super powers yet they are the ones being blamed for this change in curriculum. Anyway, we dont have a choice now coz the new curriculum is now a law, and we have to follow it. But am still not in favor for this, the K-12 is like a big conveyor belt and the school nowadays became a big educational factories. Its like we are putting these kids and schools on a conveyor, instructing them to march altogether though some cant really do it, telling us to do it, and to develop skills children arent ready to do. Its like we are training them for entertainment like dancing chickens and barking dogs. Lets all be human, these kids arent robots that we can program anytime we wish to. Let them learn on their own, and we can just be their guide in developing their fullest potential. #randomthoughts
