Lets compare and contrast the official swearing ceremony of Roosevelt Skerrit as Prime Minister and the official swearing ceremony of Lennox Linton as Opposition Leader of the Parliament. Skerrit was sworn in as PM at the Parliament building and was accompanied by his wife, two kids, mother, brother, other relatives, the 21 candidates who participated on the labor party ticket in the December 8th elections, other invited guess, and the media of Dominica. After the ceremony, refreshment was served to the audience. Today, when Lennox Linton was sworn in as Opposition Leader, he was only accompanied by his wife, and with the present of two media houses, at the office of the President. No refreshment was served. The Presidential Palace is a new built $27 million building with a large conference room which can accommodate dozens of persons; the Parliament is an old colonial building which was renovated which doest hold as much persons as the Presidential Palace; yet it was said that because of space constraint, persons could not be present to witness the official swearing of Mr Linton as Opposition Leader. Skerrits ceremony was a public gathering, but Lintons ceremony was a quiet private-like. How long will you continue to allow evil persons to hold you hostage and in bondage?
