Life, and the world, becomes more challenging and difficult, given that it is pretty much completely designed around those who can lift their feet. Good read on things many of us (myself included) never think about! While most public places are considered handicap accessible....some of them really are not, or they are but only to a certain extent. (Perhaps enough to satisfy law requirements) Which requires lots of planning and thought for even the smallest of outing. Many restraunts do have raised booths (on a platform), which would cause anyone in a wheelchair to have to wait longer if the place is crowded. Why is that fair? Why not just keep all booths and tables at ground level? Im not saying do away with high tops & bars, but dont make the already difficult even more challenging.
