Life is always interesting-so I put my chicken & veggies in to roast.. Soon I smell smoke - WHAT? .. The damn pan has pin holes & the chicken juices are burning in the bottom of oven.. smoke detectors are going off.. Take chicken out & hub tries to shut off SD.. Welllllll.. We have vaulted ceilings & the SD is on top of the 3/4 wall around kitchen. He goes to grab it & it FALLS down between the dead space between cabinets & wall .. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?? It is SCREAMING!! We get on ladder to look .. It is at the bottom -7 ft down &&& did I mention it is SCREAMING. I direct a fan down .. It stops .. YES.. Short lived.. IT SCREAMS!! .. We pulled a part of the under cabinet off & started poking that piece of crap screaming machine w/screw drivers until it died. RIP smoke detector .. Chicken is back in oven & its gonna be good!!
