Life is strange. I watched a video earlier about a cute young girl who wants to become a ballerina. She works hard, the other girls make fun of her, but she doesnt give up. She grows into a beautiful young woman and goes off to compete. Despite the nasty girl tearing up her costume, she gives a stunning performance that has the audience, and judges, give her a standing ovation -- and its all televised worldwide. I wanted to share that video and comment: When this happens in real life no one is there, but you nonetheless cherish the results for the rest of your life. But, it all seemed too artificial, contrived. Then, I saw THIS video. Its truth was so compelling that it brought tears to my eyes. I am blessed to have never had it as bad in life as this fellow, but I still know what it is to try and try and try and fail and fail and fail -- and still never give up. And I know the reward isnt a standing ovation, a gold medal or national television coverage... The reward is the satisfaction of knowing that your belief in yourself, and that of others, helped you to achieve your goals despite the odds.
