Liga Spanish transfer news: Real Madrid eye €22m Chiellini swoop Real Madrid will offer Juventus between €20-€22m for central defender Giorgio Chiellini, according to reports. The Gazzetta dello Sport have claimed that Los Blancos are keen to add the Italy international to their backline with Pepe strongly linked with a move to Manchester City. Carlo Ancelotti’s men will try to lure the 28-year-old away from the Bianconeri with a four-year contract worth €4.5m per season. It is unlikely that the Italian champions will want to sell their inspirational defender though, especially given Chiellini has another two years remaining on his contract. Barcelona officials have reportedly already met with Cesc Fabregas who confirmed he would turn down Manchester United. The midfielder has been the subject of continued speculation this summer, with reports suggesting that the player was considering his future. However, Sport report today that the player’s intentions are to stay at the Camp Nou, buoyed by Gerardo Martino’s intended direction with the team. Whilst Martino is expected to formally meet with Fabregas later this week, Mundo Deportivo suggest the player has already made clear to the club his intentions. It is understood that officials from the Blaugrana have already contacted Fabregas and his agent in recent days to ascertain if there was any truth to his reported desire to leave, to be told by both that his desire is to remain with the Catalans. An evening report on Catalunya Radio then claimed that Fabregas has had no contact at all with Manchester United. Jonathan dos Santos has warned Real Sociedad that they are not the only team in for him, whilst he asserts his Barcelona future is down to Gerardo Martino. The Mexican has been linked this summer with an exit from the Camp Nou, although whether on loan or through a permanent sale seen as having held up a move to Real Sociedad. Reflecting on the situation in today’s edition of Sport, the 23-year-old indicated that he is prepared for any eventuality ahead of an expected meeting to determine his future with new Coach Martino. “We must wait. I will see what [Martino] thinks, but I am calm, training 100 per cent every day and everything else will follow,” Dos Santos commented. “In football anything can happen. Now I am here with Barca, I am working hard and I cannot say much more. “It is true that last year I have not played much and that some important teams are now interested in me, but again for now I am here, I’m happy to be here and we shall see what happens in the coming days. “Real Sociedad? They are a group that have had a great season, they have Carlos Vela, young players, they are in the play-offs for the Champions League, if they don’t get into that then they’ll be in the Europa League, but other teams are also interested in me. “For now I am with Barca and I am not thinking about anything else.” Capped a handful of times by his country, the midfielder was asked of his hopes to make next year’s World Cup. “Of course I am thinking about the World Cup and I need to have minutes to get on to the list. This is important whether with Barcelona or another club. “It is what I need right now to aspire to be in Brazil.” Roberto Soldado rejoined Valencia on Sunday evening for a first training session of the summer, even as Tottenham reportedly close in. Reports over the weekend in Spain have suggested that the 28-year-old is set to complete a move to the Premier League side inside the next week, after they apparently agreed to pay up his €30m buyout clause. Despite it seen as imminent that a deal will go through, the player, who returned from extended Confederations Cup vacation on Saturday to watch Los Che play Milan from the stands, rejoined his teammates for a first training session on Sunday evening. Valencia are reportedly set to conclude a deal to pick up Helder Postiga this week as an immediate replacement for Soldado. Whilst the likes of Fred and Javier Hernandez have been linked, Valencia are seen as close to wrapping up a deal for Real Zaragoza’s Postiga. The 30-year-old, who scored 14 goals last season in La Liga, has been widely expected to leave Zaragoza this summer following on from their relegation. However, a transfer fee is yet to be agreed for the Portuguese international and could prove a stumbling block. Whilst Superdeporte describe the deal as just ‘hours away’ from conclusion, Los Che are apparently resolute to pay no more than €3m for the striker. Sevilla were seen to have lost out in a deal for Postiga earlier on this summer with an offer of €4m not meeting Zaragoza’s €6m valuation. Sevilla full-back Alberto Moreno is a target for Real Madrid, according to reports in the Spanish press. Marca claim that Los Blancos have already enquired about the 21-year-old, who has impressed for the Andalusian side and Spain U21’s. Current full-back Fabio Coentrao looks likely to leave this summer, with Napoli and Tottenham both linked with the Portugal international. As such, Carlo Ancelotti’s men will look to sign the former Sevilla youth graduate and continue their transfer policy of bringing in young Spanish players. Moreno could be available for a fee of around €5m. Antonio Adan has not travelled with Real Madrid to America, so he can try and find a new club for next season. The goalkeeper played a part against Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain during preseason, but Carlo Ancelotti did not include the 26-year-old is his squad for the Stateside tour so as to resolve his future. Adan was told he could leave Los Blancos earlier this summer in order to find more playing time. Moves to Elche, Almeria, Rayo Vallecano and Getafe have all failed to materialise for different reasons, so the goalkeeper will stay in Spain to talk with clubs over a potential move. Malaga are closing in on securing Polish striker Bartlomiej Pawlowski on a season long loan deal. The 20-year-old has flown into the Costa del Sol this Monday morning and has reportedly already passed a medical. Capped at Under-21 level by his country, it is believed that the Anchovies have secured the young striker on an initial season-long loan deal from Widzem Lodz. Malaga are believed to also have a purchase option for around €1m in place and they reportedly have a contract already lined up with Pawlowski for three years plus the option of a fourth, should they make permanent his stay. Pablo Piatti’s agent is expected in Valencia today and tomorrow to evaluate offers on the table to leave Los Che this summer. The Argentine winger has been linked with a move away this summer, with it reported that offers from both Metalist of Ukraine and Philippe Montanier’s Rennes have come in. Whilst the club have been seen through preseason as pushing Piatti to accept one of these deals, the player has been described up to this point as intent on playing his way into Miroslav Djukic’s plans for the new season. However, on from seeing youth team player Fede Cartabia start ahead of him at the weekend against Milan, Piatti and his agent are set to once more meet with Valencia officials this week. The player’s representative is expected in the city today and tomorrow to run through offers that remain in place for his services. The 24-year-old is seen as at least eager to remain in Spain this summer, with former club Almeria reportedly interested, alongside Celta Vigo. However, with both clubs unlikely to be able to fund a permanent move nor be able take a majority of the player’s wages in any loan agreement, Superdeporte believe that Valencia will look to arranging other deals first.
