Like to share part of an email exchange. Someone tempted to vote for me knows the poor lady I abused earlier for starting the organized campaign to barrage me with email demanding I drop out of the race. He wanted to know if I could in good conscience represent her just like anybody else in DC. My reply, after the part where I express no regrets about that incident: Even so, yes absolutely, shed be a constituent and I would be duty bound to serve her the exact same way I serve anyone else in office. It might be a tad more difficult since Ive blocked her on twitter ;) but my personal feelings are utterly irrelevant to my obligation to her as her Senator. It is very important to me that *everyone* in NC receive proper representation, top notch constituent services and a voice in our federal govt through my office. Hope that helps.
