Lilias, Iona, Betty & myself got together on August 21st for the early induction of our youngest sister Margaret into The Golden Girls Hall of Fame. We started the day out with lunch at the Bessbourgh, it was fitting as this hotel is also very old. We then took Margaret on a tour of the Mendel Art Gallery. We could see her searching the walls for her very own works of art, we didnt have the heart to tell her the only wall paintings to her credit was the painting of her living room a couple of years ago. Next on the agenda was the River Boat Cruise, time seems to pass more quickly as you get older and Im sure she thought we were gone for 1week( not 1hour). She thanked us for the trip many times and couldnt say enough good things about it. Back to her house for the reading of a poem written by Betty in Margarets honour and presentation of gifts by Iona. Cake & coffee topped off the day. Thankyou Kyla & Trevor for picking up (I mean baking) the cake. All in all it was a great day spent with my sisters!! On Sept 9th when you celebrate the official 60th birthday , we wont be able to be with you but will think of you and laugh because you will have joined our Elite group of sixty plus year olds.
