Liverpool is preparing to release England Under-21 starlet Jonjo Shelvey, with Swansea leading the chase for his signature. English Premier League rivals West Ham and Norwich are also interested in Shelvey, who impressed has impressed in patches in his 47 appearances for the Reds. Shelvey, though, only started twice in 2013 for Liverpool, and the Welsh club is interested in the 21-year-old - although it is not clear whether it could afford the estimated £6 million fee. Swansea sees the midfielder as a perfect fit for its quick-passing style, and it is appealing for the player to move to the Liberty Stadium too - given Europa League football is on the agenda this term.
