Lizzys nausea and vomiting has spun out of control once again. After four hours of being here trying to get Lizzys vomiting controlled. ER Doctor and I are discussing NJ tube in place of IV catheter because of the risks with IV pokes and trauma. Its a catch 22 because theres also some trauma with an NJ. Shes finally drinking about an ounce over the last two hours and is sleeping . Also discussing a port for hydration and IV labs. Trying to decide the best route to go for her, the best choice regarding her care short and long term. The ER floor doctor and team has been amazing and we are trying to get vomiting under control without NJ tube!
