Local Response to Ottawa Incident We are aware of today’s shooting incident in Ottawa, which remains under investigation. We have all been affected by recent incidents of violence targeting members of our Canadian Forces, and our thoughts are with them. Currently we have no indication of any imminent local threat. The safety of our community is always our priority, and we are in constant communication with our City emergency services and police partners to maintain vigilance. As with any type of criminality, we encourage members of the public to be watchful for and report unusual activity to the Kingston Police.
