They didnt even know his birthday but think he is 6 or 7 years old. He weighs aprox 17lbs. He was never taken to a vet his whole life and never walked. Just let out in the backyard. So they say. He is now fully vetted and fixed. He also walks fine on a leash. As far as likes and dislikes he loves chewing on nylabones and pulling the stuffing out of his stuffed toys. He loves just being near you and will follow me where ever I go. He is a little timid around large dogs which I believe is from being around the previous owners two pits (which they say picked on him). He is fine with our other mini doxies which are slightly older than him and he is very respectful of them and their space. Hello, We have a dachshund who was a craigslist throw away. We are trying to rehome him. he is a aprox 6 year old standard long hair. We had him fixed and fully vetted. He is becoming more than we can handle. He has what i would call separation anxiety and when we leave for work he must be contained or he destroys our house. We tried having in the largest dog grate there is but he without fail poops and pisses in the cage. so we tried putting him in the bathroom and closing the door but now i need a new door as he has worked his way through one side of the door. we believe he panics. we tried other things but left unattended he does bad things lol. I believe he would do well in a household were someone is home most of t he time such as a retiree or a stay at home parent. We have two other special need mini dachshunds (IVDD) as well as a cat which he gets along just fine with. if you could help us in rehoming him that would be great or point us in the right direction. he is a very sweet and loving dog but our live style isnt good for him and his anxiety.
