Long but I promise youll enjoy it!!! Getting a diagnosis of Autism 11 years ago for our Sammy was not easy. So many questions come to mind, you even go down the guilt road due to the disappointment. It takes one strong person to realize that it is not anyones fault its simply life. What you do and the attitude you take after that diagnosis will either make you and your child or break you. We chose to educate ourselves and fight for Sammys wellbeing and future. It hasnt been easy but GOD!!!! He placed KEY people in our path, I call them angels, EXCELLENT and DEDICATED therapists, teachers including friends that stood by us day and night, through the good, the bad and the ugly. I decided to share what I knew with others and bring hope and awareness of a God that loves EVERYONE. TODAY, yes I am aware of autism but Im aware that getting involved and not allowing guilt or listening to nonsense positions you in a place of EXPECTANCY & HOPE as well! I have seen the results!!! Here you have a child that didnt speak until he was 4 didnt read until he was 5 and today our 13 year old is a 4.0 student and keeps making progress and blossoming in every area of his life!!! We are better and have more faith because of you Sammy! You are a gift to us and the world my son!!! #worldautismawarenessday
