Looking Ahead Have thy tools ready; God will find thee work. The God of heaven will give us success. Nehemiah, in Nehemiah 2:20 Robert Kennedy once said that some people look at the way things are and ask why; others look at the way things might be and ask, why not? Nehemiah was that kind of man. When he scanned the city of Jerusalem, in ruins for generations, he saw it with walls and gates rebuilt, temple worship restored, and its discouraged people uplifted. He was a man of vision whose life was consumed with what God has put into my heart to do for Jerusalem People of vision dont look at yesterday; they look at tomorrow. They look ahead. They see things others cannot see. If you want to do something great, the place to begin is by asking God for the vision. Dont settle for some second-best human substitute. Dream big dreams, and open your heart and mind to the vision that God wants to give you. Father in Heaven, give me Your vision for this New Year. Guide me every step of every day. Give success to Your dreams in my life. Amen.
