Looking Back, Super Mario Bros. Super Show: It was very in my life I remember this show being on in the early morning. I was like 3 or 4 my the latest I recall watching an episode or two. When I was a child I remember it being one of my favorites (Since I was a kid, therefore knew nothing about what it really was yet) and also I can assume since I rarely saw it that I consider it a treat. About a year ago around when I got Netflix, I was able to find the show at last, and capable to see what I had missed out on, and it turns out...not much to be honest. Watching the first few episodes, I kinda had a weird vibe to the whole thing. Not only the fact that I can see how much animation has evolved since my childhood (We came a long way lol) as well as the plot to the show...which was...kinda...mixed ideas X_X The plot did kind of explain how both mario and Luigi were sucked down a drain, and so happened to land up right where King Koopa was about to capture The princess and Toad. (I remember because it was in the rap :D!) While they do kind of point out how they are trying to save her kingdom, there really was no plot as to how far they were into saving it really. Instead we got pop culture and fairy tale based episodes most of the time, meanwhile mixing in ideas of baddies from the SMB games 1 and 2 so we can be assure that this is the show based off the NES games at the time. Final thought, the show is mediocre, I am sure it was good for the time it was made, and I did like seeing Captain Lou Albano play Mario back than both in live action, and in animated form, but the show is recommended for those who have a heart, for American made shwos based off a classic Japanese game series. I may watch LOZ one day, because there not hard to find, but that depends if people really wanna test my patience with with a crap show like that Xp For now enjoy doing the mario, and have a good evening.-Anthony
