But when we seek it out, even in the loudest city it is possible to hear the voice of God in the din of traffic or construction, in the crashing of waves rushing in an out on a deserted beach, and the hum of factory machinery. It is not at midnight, but rather in those hours when it is no longer night but not quite day that are the hardest for those who suffer from adversity. But it is also in those same hours that many find they are most able to talk to, hear and understand God. So do not fear the still of night, rather approach it with a holy curiosity. The voice of God is not found exclusively in silence, maybe it is just the only frequency most humans are tuned in to.]
