Lotha frontal organisations to shoulder Kyong Hoho responsibilities All frontal organizations of Lotha tribe have resolved that until a new Kyong Hoho (KH) was formalized, its responsibilities would be shouldered by four frontal organizations viz. Kyong Students’Union, Kyong Eloe Hoho, Kyong Youth Hoho and Wokha District Village Council Chairmen Association aided by eleven senior members as executive members. In a press release, Kohima Lotha Hoho chairman Nchumbemo Tungoe, general secretary Thunglamo Ovung and Dimapur Lotha Hoho secretary Zumomo Tsanglao said June 7, 2013 Wokha meeting also resolved that until new Kyong Hoho officials were elected or selected as per the Hoho guidelines, the present “unrecognized office bearers” of Kyong Hoho involving itself in any official activities on behalf of the Lotha tribe stood null and void. Lotha Hoho, Kohima and Dimapur have urged the convener of the entrusted four frontal organizations to expedite the matter by convening urgent joint session of all the units of the Kyong Hoho that included 128 recognized villages as decided for early solution to the impasse. It may be mentioned that on May 12 Kyong Hoho had asked all Kyong groups to desist from misleading the public stating that any attempt to tarnish the image and damage the sanctity of the hoho would not be tolerated. KH chairman Yansathung Jami and general secretary Michael Yanthan said the tenure of incumbent executive council members was extended after due approval by representatives of villages of Wokha district during general conference held on December 11, 2012.
