Lovely reflections today from Dianne McIntyre - Today I am honoring my father Francis Benjamin McIntyre who would have been 100 years old today August 30, 2014. He died in 2005 at the age of 91. He was a beautiful man - everyone called him Benny. My sister and I called him Daddy - still do. He was kind. The kindness was in his eyes. He always gave a helping hand. Tremendous supporter of family and friends. A stickler for promptness, neatness and efficiency. He never gave up on a task or solving a problem. He could strike up a meaningful conversation with any stranger. He always saw the best in people. Daddy was always moved seeing anyone achieve especially youth. He was a lover of humankind. Benny was brilliant with numbers and had an almost photographic memory for details - people, places, events. He was a great storyteller - because he did not judge the people or happenings, From his recounting his past, I developed a theatre-dance work called I Could Stop on a Dime and Get Ten Cents Change. Every word spoken by every player was Daddys. Then others got to see the world through his eyes. Thank you, my father! You are a golden being. I love you !archive.today/mugZH
