Lucozade Powerleague Paisley Press Centre:- Sunday League *** SOUTHSIDERS Vs LOCAL BOYS *** A tense affair between two top teams here at Paisley. The match was fiercely fought throughout the entire game. Southsiders edged the lead at half time but some remarkable 2nd half displays saw Local Boys close out the win. Some dramatics towards the end as Stevie Jack was sin binned for constant dissent towards the referee. No matter, the game was already finished by this point as Local Boys picked up the win and claimed the league Trophy! Outstanding saves from Connor of Southsiders kept them in the game but it wasn’t enough for the win, but was enough for Man of the Match. *** Expected Toulouse Vs Maxwell *** Maxwell were looking to show they will be a side competing for the trophy and prize money next season as they hoped to pick up all 3 points in tonights match. A fairly open game as there was over 30 goals in the match. The gap in goals doesn’t tell the story of the game as both sets of players played a very good match. Maxwell shone through, even in this horrible rain, to claim al 3 points. Top man Mark helped his team to glory and earned the Man of the Match. . *** SMEATON ALL STARS Vs PASSY SHOOT *** Passy Shoot have had a rocky season and will be glad to be starting fresh next week. They have already shown they can compete in this tough league, finishing 3rd behind two good sides is nothing to be ashamed off. Richard will be looking to sort his players for next season and hope to be vying for 1st place next time. Lawrence will again be wondering where they went wrong in this match. Not a lot separated the teams, some outstanding saves from Smeatons keeper kept the game in close contention. Mark of Passy Shoot was the star man for them as he earned himself Man of the Match.
