Luke 15:6 Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep. My mother used to say that our family was so small we could have our family reunions in an elevator. I had no concept what it was like to gather with a large family. My husband told me how much fun it was to get together with his large, extended family. Especially when they were celebrating something special, a birthday, new baby, graduation etc... Celebrations are a lot of fun. Just like the good Shepherd in this verse God throws a party in heaven whenever a lost child returns to the fold. Remember, no matter what they have done The Heavenly Father will celebrate (throw a heavenly party) when one of his lost children returns home.
