Lynn Fitchew and I had an excellent day in Blackpool today. Got off to a good start when I saw that Balloon 700 was out on specials (I was expecting all Flexitys) and Lynn & I had that beast from Gynn Square to Waterloo Road, where I bought A Tribute to Marton Trams from Brooks collectables. Whilst Mrs wife went into Hartes Market to buy some Christmas decorations (Yeah, I know!) I treated myself to a tub of Ice Cream (No, Ron Bradshaw, I didnt share any of it!) We then caught Flexity 011 back to Town, where Lynn went around the shops whilst I had a ride on Classic Bus North Wests Open Top, 102 seater ex Hong Kong Metrobus on the 12 to Cleveleys, having the Top Deck to myself for a blow along the Prom! Another CBNW bus next, Ex Stagecoach Olympian P915 RYO on the normally Dart operated 22 back to Blackpool. Then I had a trip out to Lytham on the 11, Trident 348 out and 324 back as far as Star Gate. I was intending to get a Tram but CBNWs ex Trent/Blackpool ECW Olympian 401 (Originally Trent 701) turned up on the 12, which I had to the Pleasure Beach and then got another couple of Flexitys in the book (002 & 009) before meeting Lynn for Fish & Chips at the Derby Supper Bar. Afterwards, back to the Pleasure Beach on 009 again and then an illuminations Tour on Brush Car 631, before heading back to the c car on 008. xcellant day, well be back for the Fylde Tramway Societys Christmas Tour!
