Lynne Robertson Says Myself and my husband had viewed 3 schools - TopicsExpress

Lynne Robertson Says Myself and my husband had viewed 3 schools for our non-verbal son starting this summer. 1 is a no for sure as we dont feel the security is the highest especially out in the playground with low fencing. 2nd school had great facilities which was school for all disability children of all ages and head teacher said our son would need to be around verbal children so he may not be a suitable candidate as they didnt have many verbal children of his age group. The 3rd school was absolutely amazing in every aspect, the teachers were all qualified in autistic children and showed a great interest in finding out about our son. We also got alot of information from them. We done our letter for the panel with our only preferred school, but now we are being told that they may place him in the 1st school with it being closer to us, even though we said we would transport our son ourselves to our preferred school. We feel push into saying we would take this but we both are strongly against it. We both, as many other parents only want what we feel is best for our children. What can we do? Can we appeal this or ask to defer for a year and hope we get a space in this school. Thanks in advance Based in Perthshire, Scotland.
