M had a mountain of homework this weekend, but I was there to assist and to offer my love, support, and advice at every turn. Shes growing older....things are changing. Im doing my very best to adjust. Sunday evenings are now all about weekly laundry done and packed up, our final dinner together (this time until Thursday eve because Im picking her up early for my birthday), packing up homework, projects, and the enormous lunch that I always send her with on Mondays. I took this new job, and moved the residence that we share 2 hours away, to enhance our lives and to offer her a better, brighter future. But the sacrifices are many!! No doubt! I drop her off at her school in SC tomorrow morning. We leave at the crack of dawn every Monday morning. And my heart breaks every time....as I simultaneously remind myself that this move is going to make college possible for this awesome soul!! Her future will be ever changed by me taking this new position. She has fabulous health benefits now and she will never be burdened with student loans, etc. The list of benefits are endless. But I am away from her 4 nights/week. 2 hours away. It is Sunday night. And I miss M already!
