MAKING INTERNET RULES FOR THE CHILDREN!! Let the children suggest the rules first and if the rules are reasonable enough let them be guiding internet rules in the house. This is because when we let the children have a voice in establishing expectations parents have a lot less trouble getting them to those expectations. Pin the internet rules in the room where kids prefer accessing the internet from like the study room or the bed room. If you have to be the one to make the rules for the children, involve them by asking them to talk out the unfair parts of the rules and let them come up with fairer plan. If you do this the children will have less to complain about as far as the rules are concerned. Talk to the children with humor, be smiling to them if you don’t have to be frowning or harsh to them when talking to them about the rules. This will help them associate the rules with happiness and smiles and therefore it will be easy for them to follow the rules to follow. Finally ask the kids to suggest the reward they wish to get at the end of the month for following the internet rules and let them also propose a punishment in the event that they do not follow the rules. This not only gives them a reason to follow the rules, the kids also get motivated to tell the parents anything that makes them feel that they should not be following the rules. They get open about any problems they encounter on the internet!! Take care of the champion in your children, Keep them safer!!
