MEETING HELD AT COAL MINISTRY LEVEL AT NEW DELHI ON 06.01.2015 WITH 5 CTUs FAILED AND STRIKE IN THE COAL INDUSTRY TO CONTINUE At the repeated requests of the Ministry of Coal, Govt of India, New Delhi, the representatives of 5 CTUs namely S/Sri Rajendra Prasad Singh and SQ Zama of INTUC, Ramendra Kumar alongwith Lakhanlal Mahato of AITUC, Nathulal Pandey of HMS, PK Dutta of BMS, and Jibon Roy & DD Ramanandan of CITU Union attended themeeting on 6.1.2015 at Secretary (Coal) GOvt of India level at New Delhi over the charter of deamdns submitted by the Unions in the Strike Notice. The meeting was presided over by Sri Anil Swaroop, Secretary Coal, alongwith Sri AK Dubey, Addl. Secretary (Coal), Sri S. Bhattacharya, Chairman, Coal India and Sri R Mohan Das, D(P&I) CIL., The meeting did not yield any positive result and the Secretary Coal, Govt of India did not agree to make any substitution or amendment in the fresh Ordinance issued on 26th Dec. 2014 and the suggestions of the CTUs to have a dialogue politically (with the Minister of Coal) for which they are ready to attend the meeting even on 7th January 2015 also but the reply from the opposite side was negative as such the talks about the strike commenced from 06.01.2015 at Ministry level failed therefore the commenced strike will continue and all the affiliates are requested to give wide publicity in this regard and continue the strike.
