MENTORING 7 A mentor is not meant to force you into marriage or a relationship for personal interest. Even if God reveals your future spouse to him, he is meant to give you room to go back to the Holy Spirit for a personal confirmation rather than them imposing the idea on you. A wise mentor will accept the fact that you have some giftings and Grace he or she lacks. A mentor will not feel ashame to ask for your help in areas He or she sees you have more Grace. A mentor is not meant to seek for respect, his identity and caring, considerate, listening, communicating attitude creates the respect due for him. A mentor will not doubt you. Even when your mentor might have released you, he will still create room for teammate work between you, and him. A mentor will see you as a tool he needs for running projects, he will first be interested in your own personal welfare, your up keep, self development, love life and your constant improvement in whatsoever the Lord has laid in your heart to do.
