MESSAGE: OFFLINE DAY: 31st OCTOBER 2014! Are you not going to use internet tomorrow? Go on, if all starts boycotting internet tomorrow; then, besides contacting others, you cant even read newspapers, see television, board a transport, or cure a patient due to medicine requirement, as telecommunication will be badly affected. See just how internet itself is helping you to spread this boycott message as far as you cant even think of doing it yourself! So, is it the right way to spread protest against internet using internet itself? Your issue is internet cost, not the internet, isnt it? Then raise a protest against TRAI to force Telecom Companies to reduce internet rates. By boycotting internet for a day, you are yourself proving that you are somehow managing to not using net for some hours, but cannot boycott it for more days....So, eventually they are knowing that you are still weak enough! And not all telecom operators have the same internet rates, an international company will of course have higher rates than a national company, as its gaining enough profit. We are the ones who are using their service for months and are agreed to use it further. Just change your option, opt for an operator which provides lower rates and use that. This boycotting session is lame and going to be ineffective as far as we can predict! It wont bring down rates, rather may have a chance of hike in rates due to the loss that company may face tomorrow! Only way to stop this hike is to approach to TRAI, that cannot be possible if we all disconnect ourselves from this world and become alone! This protest against internet cost hike is a mass protest and it must need the support of mass media, and internet is one of the biggest and strongest media we can ever imagine, so without that, it cannot become successful!
