METAMORPHOSIS (Excerpts from Devotional Box - a daily devotional by Dr. Isaiah & Lianna Wealth) * * * 6th November, 2014. * * * TITLE:. BE THANKFUL SCRIPTURAL TEXT: (Colossians 3:15) And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.” * * * Why is it that many believers fail to thank God for what they have? It is chiefly because they think that they deserve them anyway, whereas, the Bible clearly states that no man can receive anything except God has given it to him (John 3:27, 1 Cor. 4:7) Promotion becomes automatic only when you are constantly grateful for what you have. Therefore, in failing to thank God often, we delay our own promotion. Also, where gratitude is concerned, learn to always compare yourself or your present situation with your past. You will always find something to be grateful for. As you take stock of 2014, do not forget to give God thanks for every bit of progress you have made so far in different areas of your life. Never get used to what God has given you because you never even deserved them in the first place. You have come this far only by the Grace of God. As you give thanks to God today and everyday, you can be sure to end the year well and have an even greater 2015. Halleluyah! * * * ISAIAH PROPHESIES: Let thanksgiving naturally proceed from you today in Jesus name. * * * ACTION POINTS DO THIS: Ponder on those things that were added to your life this year and deliberately thank God for each one of them. * * * SAY THIS: I decree and I declare that in my going out and my coming in, I am shielded from every harm. * * * STUDY YOUR BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: DANIEL 12 & HOSEA 1, JOHN 13, PROVERBS 10 * * * CHRISTIAN MISSION FOCUS ALGERIA With a 97% muslim population, 85% of Algerians are unreached with the Gospel but faith is growing among Arabs. New fellowships are popping up. Their youths are frustrated and disillusioned but they make up the largest population in Algeria and amongst them are the majority of the Christians. * * * PRAY FOR ALGERIA: We are praying for more labourers in Algeria so that the Gospel can spread to all the unreached people. * * * STARTUP PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank you for all you have done in my life, I give you all the Glory in Jesus name. * * * PRAYER OF CONSECRATION Oh Lord my God, I thank you for my year so far. I consecrate my plans t you. Do not let me fall short of what you have for me this year.
