MISINFORMATION spread on Facebook! No! Really? The Denmark Dolphin slaughter page & the old 2009 email titled Shame Denmark Shame is misinformation, terrible emotional hype and a distortion of truth. The Faroe Islands Pilot Whale harvests are an internationally sanctioned whale harvest to provide meat for consumption by the Faroe Islanders. The Faroe Islands are an Autonomous nation state. They are NOT Denmark. I am not saying I condone their whale slaughter; I find it disturbing & upsetting. But they live on Islands with very very small land mass that has insufficient arable land for raising cattle, sheep etc, so aquatic life is their source of protein. Please do not spread misinformation on Causes it only serves to undermine all cause campaigns that are well researched & well directed.
