MO-01 Transition Update: MO-01 Members and all who have supported MO-01 over the last 2 1/2 years this is a transition report to keep everyone up to date on the status of the district. Shirley and I have been working via email, facebook messaging and texting on the transition process while I finish up stuff for the banquet and figure out a way to say goodbye as your Director. Shirley is asking lots of questions, studying up on the NBHA rulebook and preparing for the meeting to follow the awards presentation at the banquet. It really isnt goodbye since you will still continue to see me at the shows and other barrel racing events throughout the area but I have to tell you that I have truly enjoyed and found many rewards in being the MO-01 Director. Not all was smooth sailing, nothing ever is but watching this district grow and be the district I always knew it could be and being part of that process has truly been a blessing to me. My hope and wish is for the district to continue on the great path it is on, continue to show all that choose to come compete at the 01 shows that it is a tough, tough district in spirit, personal perseverance and of course horse power. I know each one of you will give your new director the opportunity to grow into the position just like I did and help her along the way be successful and keep the district strong. It looks like the 2013 Awards Banquet is going to be the largest attended one ever - cannot wait to see everyone and enjoy the evening on March 15, 2014 at the Parkhurst Commons Area, SFCC in Sedalia, MO - please enter the parking lot on the North Side of SFCC in the main parking area (16th Street side). Doors Open at 6 pm and we plan on eating at 6:30, awards to follow and then a short meeting with your new director. Happy Trails!
