MONDAY 17TH MARCH, 2014 AVOID “SHORT-CUTS” Before your conception, God plotted the graph of your life such that if you cannot get it through this way, you could get it through the other way(s). As we grow up from different homes and meet the realities of life, we could be challenged to face life and live up to great expectations or live in ways that greatly appeal to our minds. We would want to face life and grab our destinies. But sometimes, it’s like a thick cloud covers the way and doesn’t let us see in order to find and fulfill our Divinely structured purposes. We would then have to push forward, shine our light, remove the clouds and grab our lots. But then if you are not careful you may get a little enjoyment of that purpose and regret all the way. If, for instance, you are destined to be a banker, you have to work towards it. If you choose to follow the crooked way of rushing-through the university with fake results, graduating through mal-practices and with fake certificates, getting employed through god-fathers or the likes; you may enjoy your work as a banker, loot funds without being harassed only for a few years while you may still have your godfather around and active, but a day comes when your godfather may no longer be active, and you’ll be convicted for your filled-up-cup-of-offences. There and then you pay the great price for your crooked means of reaching your ends. You actually arrived at your purpose of being a banker but you never fulfilled it because you came through the wrong track. Howbeit, if you’re divinely directed, you’ll humbly study whether in pains or in lack, you’ll graduate and get a good job as a banker. Now because you have no godfather, you may be employed to the least position in the firm but that’s great because when you shall finally arrive at the top, you know what the bottom is all about. As you continue working faithfully and rendering good services, your promotions will gradually come and you’ll eventually rejoice. For your patience and humble beginning, you may be recommended into the board of Directors. More so, if you think you’ve tried your best and nothing about you is really working out right, embrace God. He has very good plans for you. Abraham’s life purpose was to father many Nations yet he had no child until the age of 100, but because he trusted and obeyed God’s instructions, this purpose was found and fulfilled. Today, you are part of that Abrahamic Purpose. Jabez who saw himself in very inconceivably unacceptable state, had to seek the face of God so as to have his destiny divinely directed. Eventually, his name like that of Abram was changed, he was blessed and his purpose was accomplished. God can and will likewise do same to you.
