MORTAL’S LOVE AND LIFE ARE FLEEING SHADOWS Heaven, behold you - TopicsExpress

MORTAL’S LOVE AND LIFE ARE FLEEING SHADOWS Heaven, behold you your earth! Are there realms free from cares? Wherein my battered heart could rest? Pleasures here are pains at best Adepts say life in duality exists If there’s ever falling to abysmal ebb There’ll be rising to marvellous heights There are always two sides of the coin Life could take you to hills of tears Or at best bring you to valleys of bliss Life can draw you to nobles’ feasts Where hitherto you’ve been banished Does life truly have a meaning? Or has it long lost its meaning? How best can it ever be said? That mortal’s love has waned When, Where and in which realm can it be That this battered body again will sprout? And again tread the paths of succour On whose arms can it take this flight? Shall lyrics of love again sound From lips its anthems now elude? Shall love on its wings again lift Hearts exiled in dreadful valleys? Can heated spirits again leap And drench in pools of relief? Oh, life has lost her floral branch And now, knotted in swords and bows When shall this knackered body rest? Beyond pathways of thorns and pebbles Where dearest friends in harmony raise Calming songs before the moon wanes My heart has long been made up My soul upon higher realms is fixed Where the moon stands huger than oak My creed towers higher than mortal temples.
